Ha, I finally found the solution. Windows Server 2003 requires that you always have an encrypted connection by default. Turn off in gpedit.

At work. Loving my new MacBook, but frustrated by some networking issues. I can't get on the Windows server. That server just has problems, it really needs to be rebuilt.
